What Is StreamYard?

Basically, StreamYard is a web tool used to run live broadcasts.

It works like a studio where you can control all the details of a live and broadcast it to other channels, such as YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Even3, including social media and event platforms at the same time.

This way, you act as the administrator, choosing who appears on screen and what gets shown.

Since the platform is super easy to use, it becomes an essential choice for producing high-quality live content.

In short, StreamYard makes it easier to organize lives and gives you more control over how the content is shared.

On top of that, its features can expand the possibilities for live broadcasts and make them more dynamic. Check out what you can do with StreamYard:

StreamYard’s Main Features and How to Use Them

Custom Layout

Customization is one of StreamYard’s most appealing features.

That’s because the platform lets you change how guests appear on screen, even after the live has started.

It also offers the option to customize the broadcast’s visual elements. So you can add banners, photos, GIFs, videos, logos, and buttons.

On top of that, StreamYard enables screen sharing, whether to run a slide presentation or show other information from the presenter’s desktop.

And you can easily set how the slides will be displayed.

On-Screen Buttons

Speaking of buttons, they can be used as CTAs (Calls to Action). That is, prompts for important actions, like downloading files, registering for events, or visiting other sites.

Combined with a digital marketing strategy, they can help your attendees engage more and more with your brand and become customers.

Adding Speakers

When it comes to speakers, StreamYard offers unique features, such as the ability to run broadcasts with more than one speaker.

So if you want to run a live with up to 10 guests, you’ll need StreamYard. That’s because few social networks even offer this option!

Private Messages

With many speakers, organizing a live can get a bit more complex.

That’s why Streamyard has a private messaging feature, built for exclusive communication between speakers and live administrators.

This way, you can chat only with your guests and keep them informed during the broadcast.

Content Recording

Besides making live broadcasts easier, StreamYard also records the content.

This way, it simplifies the process of downloading the video and audio while keeping the files’ quality intact.

This feature is very useful if you want to reuse the video, for example, by selling the content after the broadcast, sharing clips on social media, or turning it into a course.

You can also send the video directly to LinkedIn and Facebook groups, letting users download it directly from those social networks.

Interactivity

The ability to interact with broadcast comments in real time is a standout feature of StreamYard.

You can view attendees’ comments and reply to them, including displaying the most relevant comments on the live screen.

Data Analysis

StreamYard shares real-time metrics with the broadcast administrators.

The data provided includes watch time, interaction rate, and audience retention.

This way, you can track audience engagement and run different strategies to boost it, such as giveaways or polls.

On Even3, these are common features in the Broadcast Area, which can be integrated with StreamYard to get the best of both platforms. I’ll explain how to do that soon!

Multistreaming

Finally, you’ve probably already noticed that StreamYard is present on several platforms, right?

It also broadcasts your online content to different places at the same time.

For example, you can broadcast your live on YouTube and Even3 at the same time.

This way, you can create activities for people who aren’t registered for your event’s program.

Or promote open content on YouTube to reach a wider audience, while still guaranteeing certificates for attendees registered on the events platform.

But this is one of the tool’s paid features! So it’s worth getting to know the plans and options.

How Much Does StreamYard Cost?

StreamYard has 3 plans: free, basic, and professional.

To start, the free plan covers the basic needs for live content production.

But you’ll only be able to broadcast up to 20 hours of live per month on a single channel. That means you’ll have to choose whether to broadcast on YouTube or Even3, for example.

To broadcast on more than one platform at the same time, remove the platform’s logo, and enjoy other benefits, you need to get at least the basic plan.

This purchase is made through an international card, and the price is always in dollars.

That’s why it’s important to know the benefits before making your decision:

Free StreamYard

  • Covers the basic needs for live content production;
  • Streams up to 20 hours of live video per month;
  • You can’t remove the StreamYard logo;
  • Limit of six users on screen at once.

Paid StreamYard (basic to professional)

  • Unlimited monthly live streaming;
  • You can remove the StreamYard logo and add your own brand;
  • Add custom backgrounds, logos, and overlays;
  • Records and stores four to eight hours of full HD content;
  • Supports up to 10 speakers in the broadcast;
  • Multi-platform streaming to up to eight accounts.

How Do You Use StreamYard?

Using this platform to broadcast your online event is very simple.

First, enter your email to create an account.

The system will send a code to your email to confirm it’s correct.

Enter the confirmation code, and you’ll be logged into the platform.

Set Where Your Broadcast Will Be Shown

The StreamYard platform is very simple, with two main options: Broadcasts and Destinations.

In our example, I chose to broadcast to YouTube. So StreamYard asks to connect to my Google account in order to access YouTube.

Notice that after that, YouTube will already show up as one of the options under Destinations.

Next, you can already create your first broadcast.

See how super simple it is to use this amazing tool?

How Do You Integrate StreamYard Video with Even3?

Once you’ve set up StreamYard, it’s time to use it with Even3. After all, with this solution, you can ensure a secure video, a broadcast area with interactive tools, and all of Even3’s benefits.

So, to get started, just create an event on Even3 and go to the Online Broadcast module, select the Even3 Streaming option, and copy the broadcast URL and stream key information.

Then, in StreamYard, remember how to set where your broadcast will be shown?

Earlier, I chose YouTube. Now, you should choose Custom RTMP and paste in the URL and stream key information from Even3. Pretty simple, right?

Finally, your online broadcast will be complete! That’s because you won’t just have the support needed to create a live, right?

By combining StreamYard with Even3, you strengthen your event management with registration management, financial control, paper submissions, and certificate generation.

It also automates several of your event’s functions and simplifies organizational tasks. Have you thought about how that could work in practice? Create an event for free on Even3 and find out now.
